Waffle House is calling for a U.S. boycott on Belgian waffles, ahead of the United States' clash with Belgium in the Round of 16 at the FIFA World Cup.

A rep told TMZ on Monday that the American restaurant chain is calling for ban to support the team.

"We support a boycott on Belgian Waffles. We support America. We don't support Belgian Waffles," the Waffle House rep told TMZ.

It should be noted, that Waffle House does not sell Belgian waffles, so it won't take a hit if this boycott is implemented. Also, Belgian waffles are not from Belgium. So there's that.

The White House has yet to institute a formal boycott on Belgian waffles.
