Wrangling crocodiles is all in a day's work for Little Ray's Reptile Zoo in Hamilton.

Last week, the crew visited the Twin Valley Zoo to pick up nine of their spectacled caiman crocs that were "vacationing" at the zoo during the summer. You can watch the video, shot by Nick Copeland, in the player above.

As crocodile's are more comfortable outside than inside, Little Ray's loans some of their animals to the Brantford zoo in the warmer months to give them a chance to stretch their legs.

"It's great for them," said owner Steve Featherstone. "It's getting a little cool for them there in the evenings, though."

"But we hope to do this every year."

Little Ray's announced last month that the facility was granted accreditation by Canada's Accredited Zoos and Aquariums at its annual conference in Moncton. That was the missing piece the facility needed after the city agreed to bend its animal control bylaw earlier this year to allow the zoo to continue running with its larger animals.

The accreditation will allow Little Ray's to bring back large reptiles from their exile in Ottawa at another Little Ray's facility. Last year, Featherstone had to move around 10 arachnids, 11 crocodilians, eight snakes and one lizard from his Hamilton zoo to comply with the city bylaw.
